Our family centers on faith, deep relationships, and community. Scion Tree Foundation was birthed out of our love of families and helping to foster a support for adoptive families. We never expected God to lead us down the journey we have been on. But, we love how God surprises us, even to this day.

Our family centers on faith, deep relationships, and community. Scion Tree Foundation was birthed out of our love of families and helping to foster a support for adoptive families. We never expected God to lead us down the journey we have been on. But, we love how God surprises us, even to this day.
Our Family
Our family is a journey with beautiful surprises that we never anticipated. Our oldest two boys are biologic, and we had not considered adoption until we ran into infertility issues. After wrestling with God, we decided to dive in with the adoption of our third son and first daughter from Ethiopia. What a world-changing experience that was for all of us. God poured out blessings beyond all we could have imagined, and we began chasing after His joy.

About the Foundation
Scion Tree Foundation was created by adoptive parents with heartfelt gratitude for their children and their biological family members. Scion Tree Foundation purpose is to graft children into the family of Jesus Christ through supporting adoption of and care for orphaned children through fundraising for adoptive families, providing information and resources for adoptive families, providing direct support and care for orphans both domestically and internationally, and advocating for the rights of orphaned children and families with the domestic government, foreign governing bodies, and non-governmental organizations.
Why Scion Tree Foundation
We formed Scion Tree Foundation to share this joy with others.
A few years ago we adopted our second daughter from India, and God opened another chest of His treasures to bless us more. In 2020, we are in the process of adopting our third daughter from China, and we cannot wait to see what adventures He has in store. In short, adoption has been a catalyst of His transforming love in our lives, and we are called to pour it back out.
Scion Tree Foundation's primary goal is to be a community of faith and relationship to those impacted by the miracle of adoption. Whether that is sharing a meal, experiences, or financial resources, we want to walk with families, including birth parents, through the unique paths that God uses to enrich lives through adoption.
